Horween is real, full-grain USA leather — minimally treated, with natural variation and a strong patina story. Nomad Leather is a proprietary alternative that's more uniform in colour and texture and less variable. Horween for the heritage, character, and aging story; Nomad Leather for the more uniform look at a slightly lower price.
Will the leather scratch easily?
It will mark with use — that's the point. The marks buff out into a rich patina over a few weeks. Cheap leather cases scratch and look damaged; Horween scratches and looks better.
How well does Camera Control work through the case?
Excellent. The integrated glass button transmits all Camera Control gestures — light press, full press, and slide — with native responsiveness. Photographers won't notice a functional difference from the bare phone.
How much does it weigh / how thick is it?
